Description

2019- ongoing
In 2019 while exhibiting in Venice I became aware of the slow but steady sinking of the city. It made me pay closer attention to the impact of global warming on the oceans, including the documented rise in sea levels and increased rate of movement of ocean currents. These drawings, made with carefully crafted lines in pigment ink on paper or wood, aim to reveal the beauty and majesty of our oceans. The line-work conveys the direction and energy of the currents and waves. The works are based on selected images from thousands of photos I have taken of the Pacific ocean off our local coast. Most works are for sale, email me for details if interested.
